Last weekend, This is Knit held a super-special spin-in Sunday with lots of treats; we had fibre samples to play with & talks from experienced spinners; lots of giggles, fun & opportunity for first-time spinners to have a go.
New spinners got to see spinning wheels in action...
and even have a go;
There were lovely sweet treats (banana bread by Lisa)
but most exciting of all; the extreme spin-off (spinning from a balcony to reach the floor below)
This was incredibly nerve-wracking for the participants, & bemusing for passers-by. The prize went to Laura, who managed to spin all the way to the floor with just one flick of her spindle. She haz mad skillz.
