My Mam had a tin of buttons when I was a kid and still does although not quite as big. One of my favourite things to do as a kid was to go through it with her when she was looking for suitable buttons for a cardigan or some such. I just loved all the different colours! B
I used to love playing with my mum's jar of buttons. I'd sort them by size, then by colour. I'd have them spread all over the kitchen table. Now I'm cultivating my own button jar, haha.
