We've had a few really bright but cold days here in Dublin, so of course, I've dragged out the camera to St Stephen's Green....
And to my balcony. Needless to say, I'm completely freaked out by the early tulips. I didn't expect to see these until late April or May.
The daffodils are appropriately timed though.
While Nature has been busy blooming, I've been busy making commitments. I've recently mentioned my complete lack of fitness and how it's spoiled my enjoyment of walking in the nearby mountains. The Fella & I have just joined a local gym. And I have signed up to take part in the Women's Mini Marathon in June. I wanted a specific goal to push myself towards, and also wanted to do something worthwhile, so will try to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society while I'm at it.
I've just started following the Couch to 5k programme, and while running 5 kilometres seems impossible right now, I have managed the first week of workouts, on a treadmill, without feeling too much pain afterwards. My only concern is that I will lose motivation, but having a workout buddy is giving me the little extra nudge I sometimes need to just get out & go to the gym.
Wish me luck!
