I thoroughly enjoyed knitting this hat; the slightly rough and sticky yarn works so well for stranded colourwork.

There is something very satisfying about corrugated ribbing.

I am so thoroughly pleased by this hat that I even love the inside stranding.

The only modification I made was to add a lining around the inside of the headband in super-soft malabrigo laceweight leftovers.

As much as I loved knitting this pattern, I can admit that it's a little too girlie for me to wear, so it will be a gift.
I just hope the recipient likes to wear it as much as I liked knitting it!

Such a fab hat, I really want to make one after seeing yours at the WWKIP day.
ReplyDeleteIt's a brave knitter who shows the reverse side of a project! Wow, love it - and especially the little malabrigo brim, what a stroke of genius :)
ReplyDeleteThank you ladies! It's easy to love even the wrong side of such a lovely pattern
